Nicole Rianda continued her strong offensive production with a game-high 20 points for San Benito, which improves to 6-4 in the Tri-County Athletic League, 14-8 overall.

Erin Glasspool, Cyrena Salinas and Kelsey Robledo each added six points for the Balers.

“The kids played a great three quarters and really opened up the offense,” San Benito head coach David Kaplansky said. “Nicole did a great job finishing and gaining momentum (for the team).”

The Balers led 11-4 after the first quarter and 30-17 at halftime. They then opened the second half on a 7-0 run, when Kaplansky began to rotate in players.

Although the Trojans outscored San Benito 12-6 in the fourth quarter, the Balers had led by 18 points entering the period.

“I would have liked to have finished the game off better, but we were mixing in a lot of girls,” Kaplansky said.

Alisal’s Gaby Pantoja finished with 17 points, but was limited to just four in the first half. She scored nine of her team-high total in the fourth quarter.

The Balers will look to continue their current two-game win streak on Thursday night when they will host Salinas — San Benito’s final home game of the regular season. Tip-off is 7 p.m.
