The California Highway Patrol reported that a big rig carrying
turkeys in the area of Cienega and Hidden Valley roads rolled over
around 7 a.m. Tuesday, and the driver was in serious condition.

The CHP reported on its online information page that the accident happened shortly after 7 a.m. The vehicle and about 300 dead turkeys were about 40 feet off the roadway.

The front cab of the truck was smashed, and the driver was listed as possibly having serious injuries.

One lane was closed to traffic.
