over the weekend in a course of 18 hours, according to police.
Three shootings suspected as gang related occurred in Hollister over the weekend in a course of 18 hours, according to police.

The first shooting was reported shortly after 6:30 p.m. Saturday, while the second one occurred at 1:25 a.m. Sunday with the final incident just after 11 a.m. Sunday, according to a statement from police.

There was one minor injury, in the second shooting, and the victim refused treatment.

The first incident was in the 800 block of Line Street, where a black Chrysler 300 was seen pulling up to a Hispanic male on a bicycle and shooting at him, in front of the Head Start building.

The second incident was in the 1000 block of Sherwood Drive, according to police. A single shot was fired into a residence, striking a man walking in the hallway. Police called the wound superficial, while the victim refused treatment.

The latest incident in the 1400 block of Westside Boulevard involved a newer, white Chevy Tahoe with black or chrome wheels. It slowed near a group of young males and asked one of them about gang affiliation. There were several shots fired, but no one was hurt and the victims fled. None of the victims cooperated with police.
