The Hollister Police Department has identified the fatal victim in the early Saturday stabbing on Sunnyslope Road as an 18-year-old Morgan Hill resident.
Police on Monday released the identify of the victim as Jesse Anthony Saldivar, 18, of Morgan Hill.
Police are continuing to investigate the stabbing homicide that occurred around 3 a.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road, said Capt. David Westrick of Hollister police. Westrick said police have been busy on the case and were following up on some leads that are “very good.”
Police were dispatched to a report of a fight with a male stabbing victim around 3 a.m. They located him in a driveway on Sunnyslope Road, west of Valley View Road, as the victim suffered from from chest trauma. Despite life-saving efforts by AMR and the Hollister Fire Department, responders pronounced the victim deceased a short time later.
Westrick said he did not have more information about the leadup to the stabbing and what may have prompted it.
The Hollister Police Department noted how it is seeking the public’s help in identifying the suspect or suspects in this incident.
