The 2011 Hollister Relay For Life has crossed the finish line. The annual event had more than 60 teams registered, all ready to keep one person walking on the track from each team for the 24-hour event. The event raised money for the American Cancer Society and also celebrated the survivors in the community while remembering those who have passed from the disease.

The opening ceremony was Saturday at 11 a.m. and the closing ceremony was set for 10 a.m. on Sunday, while there were many activities and entertainment options throughout.

Although more information will be available Monday, the Free Lance would like to invite participants and other supporters to submit photos from the 2011 event, to be published online and in the newspaper Tuesday.
