Playing in their first game since Dec. 22, the Anzar Hawks returned to the pitch last Wednesday and routed host Trinity Christian 11-0 to open Coastal Athletic League play.

Brianna McCain had a hat trick after depositing three goals for the Hawks, who improve to 1-0 in the CAL and 5-3 overall.

Lauren Bellone and Michelle Chatley each added two goals for Anzar, while Mia Scofield, Mali Gonzales, Monica Medina and Gabriela Medina had one goal apiece.

Trinity Christian is formerly Calvary Christian.

The Hawks will continue league play on Tuesday when they will host Marina in San Juan Bautista. Kick-off is 3:30 p.m.
