The San Benito Haybalers suffered their second loss in Tri-County Athletic League play on Tuesday night after they were swept by host Monterey in three games (17-25, 16-25, 20-25).

The Toreadors, who improved to 6-0 with the three-game victory, have yet to drop a set in TCAL play this year, and have now won 10 straight matches since dropping the season opener Mitty.

San Benito’s winning streak of four straight matches, meanwhile, was snapped with the loss. The Balers, winners of six of their last eight, are now 5-2 in the TCAL and 8-6 overall.

San Benito will return to Hollister’s Mattson Gym on Thursday night when it will host Carmel at 6:30 p.m.
