The San Benito Haybalers connected on 11 hits and defeated host North Salinas by a 12-2 margin on Saturday in a shortened six-inning contest.

After the Balers jumped out to a 9-0 lead through two innings of play, Ryan Sabattini hit a three-run homer in the top half of the sixth to push San Benito out to a 10-run lead.

The game was called due to the 10-run rule following the sixth inning.

Bryan Granger struck out five over three hitless innings, while relievers Justin Schlie (2IP, 2K, 2R, 1ER, 1BB, 2H) and Trevor Fabing (1IP, 1K, 2H) closed out the game for the Balers, who improve to 11-0 in the Tri-County Athletic League, 15-4 overall.

At the plate, Ricky Garcia was 2 of 4 with an RBI, Nick Acosta was 2 of 2 with two RBI and Isaak Ramos was 1 of 3 with a double and three RBI.

The Balers will return to the diamond on Friday when they will visit Salinas at 4 p.m.
