their efforts into improving their health and fitness. Often they
end up bored, unmotivated and ultimately, quit.

CrossFit includes small group classes, which include personal
training during each visit. During Guest Days, visitors can tour
the gym, learn about the program, participate in a raffle with
prizes and join in a workout, if desired.
CrossFit has 1,500 affiliated gyms worldwide and was started in
Santa Cruz.

Meeting on FDA produce safety rules
SEASIDE – Fruit and vegetable growers, extension educators, food retailers, packers, consultants, produce trade association personnel and other interested stakeholders are invited to an event that will address issues of compost, wildlife/environmental concerns, water quality, and worker health and hygiene as the Food and Drug Administration works to establish a nationwide standard for growing, harvesting and packing fresh fruits and vegetables. The event is April 26, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with lunch provided, at the Embassy Suites, Monterey Bay-Seaside, 1441 Canyon Del Rey, in Seaside.
The event is sponsored by the University of California, Agriculture and Natural Resources and Produce Safety Project, an initiative of the Pew Charitable Trusts at Georgetown University.
