San Benito County sheriff’s investigators are looking for a man suspected of driving his motorcycle over a resident in a yard near the west side of Hollister, according to the sheriff’s department.

At about 5:30 p.m. Oct. 10, a male rode a motorcycle onto the property in the 2100 block of Buena Vista Road drove over the resident living at the location, investigators alleged in the statement.

According to a statement from sheriff’s office Sgt. Tony Lamonica:

The resident approached the subject and advised him to leave the property. After the resident advised the subject he was not allowed on the property, the resident turned his back on the subject on the motorcycle and began to walk toward the property gates. As he continued walking toward the gates, the suspect began to accelerate on the motorcycle and headed directly toward him. The subject ultimately struck Munoz from behind with the motorcycle, causing multiple injuries.

Investigators believe the suspect never stopped to check on the victim and left the scene toward Highway 156. The only description on the suspect is a male driver, wearing an unknown colored motorcycle helmet and riding gear, according to the sheriff’s office.

The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help with any information that could lead to the identity or location of the suspect. If you have any information that could help, please call Lamonica at (831) 636-4080.
