The San Benito High School District has $3.4 million budgeted to handle employees’ health benefits throughout the district in the 2010-2011 school year.

The teachers’ association accounts for more than $2 million of the budget. Teachers have approved a new contract agreement with the district. Part of the agreement is that health benefits will be covered in full – a rarity for school districts in California.

Every full time employee in the district receives the same full health benefits. It comes at an annual cost of $17,289.60 per person.
