Anzar pockets easy 5-0 victory at Marina on Friday
MARINA

Juan Vega and Alexis Sicairos supplied all the offense Friday and the Anzar High boys soccer team won their second straight game when they posted a 5-0 shutout at Marina.

Vega scored the three-goal hat trick while teammate Sicairos scored two more goals to go along with his three goals from last Wednesday’s 7-2 victory against Calvary Christian.

The Hawks are 2-0 in the Coastal Athletic League and 2-2 overall.

Anzar was held scoreless through the first 25 minutes of play at Marina on Friday, but then proceeded to score three times in the next 11 minutes of regulation – two from Vega and another by Sicairos – to take a 3-0 lead to the break.

The Hawks will return to San Juan Bautista on Tuesday to host Pacific Collegiate at 3:30 p.m.
