Hit-and-run and DUI, San Juan Highway

At 9:30 p.m. April 21, a hit-and-run was reported on the 100 block of San Juan Highway. A resident reported the suspected crime, and a deputy later saw a matching description to a vehicle with damage and pulled over the driver. The deputy noticed a strong odor of alcohol, conducted tests and arrested the man, 54, of San Juan Bautista, on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Auto burglary, Anzar Road

At 4:30 p.m. April 19, an auto burglary was reported on the 900 block of Anzar Road. Someone stole a compound bow valued at $1,000 and miscellaneous tools valued at $400.

Vandalism and threats, Bonnie View Road

At 4 p.m. April 23, threats and vandalism were reported on the 1200 block of Bonnie View Road. A resident reported that a Hollister man made threatening remarks and possibly slashed the resident’s tires. No arrests have been made.

Burglary, Cienega Road

At 8 a.m. April 10, a residential burglary was reported on the 2200 block of Cienega Road. There was a flat-screen TV valued at $900 and miscellaneous jewelry valued at $1,000 taken.

Petty theft, Nyland Road

At 8:05 a.m. April 24, petty theft was reported on the 100 block of Nyland Road in San Juan Bautista. A bicycle was taken from a bike rack at San Juan Elementary School. It was valued at $204.
