ARRESTS
Possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, Hawkins Street
Police pulled over a vehicle for vehicle code violations at 11:20 a.m. on Monday. Upon stopping the car on Hawkins Street, the driver, a 23-year-old Hollister male, was found to have a warrant and was arrested. Police searched the vehicle and found marijuana and two pipes under the drivers seat. A 22-year-old county resident was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia. Both were booked into the county jail.
Embezzlement, Airline Highway
Between Jan. 5 and April 14, an employee was suspected of embezzling money from Ace Hardware on the 1700 block of Airline Highway. Police said the 21-year-old Hollister female suspect was caught after she was seen pocketing money from the cash register on surveillance cameras. The suspect was arrested and booked into the county jail.
Second-degree burglary, Tres Pinos Road
At 8:47 p.m. on Wednesday, a 32-year-old Hollister female walked into the Dollar Store on the 500 block of Tres Pinos Road, took seven packages of candy, stuffed them into her clothing and left the store. After a review of the security tapes, police identified the woman, tracked her down and arrested her. She was booked into the county jail.
Reckless driving, Sally Street
At 2:12 p.m. on Wednesday, a 19-year-old Hollister male attempted to turn onto Sally Street at a high rate of speed, lost control of his car and spun out of control. When police attempted to pull him over, he took off at high rate of speed. He was finally pulled over near the fire station, arrested and booked into the county jail.
Possession of marijuana, Apricot Lane
At 1:42 p.m. on Wednesday, a suspect was found to be in possession of under an ounce of marijuana on Apricot Lane. Police said they became aware of the 40-year-old Hollister resident when they received a complaint about a man in the area of South Street and Westside Boulevard who possibly had a gun. Police contacted the suspect and found him to be in possession. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
Threaten crime, Gonzalez Drive
At 5:05 p.m. on Monday, a husband and wife had an argument where the husband threatened damage to the house and vehicles on the 200 block of Gonzalez Drive. Police said that there were no arrests resulting from the incident.
Grand theft, Squire Court
At 3:30 p.m. on March 28, an unknown suspect stole a bike from a residence on the 1400 block of Squire Court. No suspect information was available.
