Guerrero fight finally finalized for June 12

Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero has seen so many different fighters in the ring the past few weeks, he can’t keep track of who’s who anymore.

One name which is surely fixed in his mind now is Johnnie Edwards.

Currently training in Los Angeles, Guerrero (23-1-1, 16 KOs) will soon be returning to San Jose to face Edwards (15-4-1, 8 KOs) June 12 at HP Pavilion, headlining a card that will be televised on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights.”

While the June 12 bout is unlikely to offer Guerrero a significant challenge, a larger card is being aligned for Aug. 22 in Houston. An impressive victory could secure Guerrero a place on that card.
