ARRESTS

Offensive words, Hill Street

At 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a citizen reported to police that a 45-year-old Hollister woman threatened her and used offensive words at the intersection of Hill and San Benito streets. The woman was placed under citizen’s arrest until police arrived, when she was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Drunk in public, San Juan Road

At 12:30 a.m. on Thursday, a citizen called police to report that there was a drunk suspect at Quik Stop in the 1300 block of San Juan Road. Police talked with the 40-year-old Hollister man and he was deemed unable to take care of himself. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Possession of a counterfeit bill, Fourth Street

At 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, a customer tried to purchase items from the Hollister Drive In Market in the 800 block of Fourth Street using a counterfeit $10 bill. When police talked with the man, he said he had received it in change from another store. Police said that no charges were filed.

Evading police, Valley View Road

At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, police attempted to stop a driver for a vehicle code violation near the intersection of Valley View Road and Sunset Drive. The suspect saw the lights and sped away from police. He stopped his vehicle in the 1900 block of Memorial Drive and fled on foot. Police are currently investigating leads on the suspect and the case is ongoing.

Reckless driving, Fourth Street

At 12:50 p.m. on Monday, a victim reported that he was almost run over by a vehicle in the 800 block of Fourth Street, near the intersection of Line Street. The victim said he wanted to have the suspect arrested and knew where he lived. Police talked with the suspect and he was cited for reckless driving and released.

Second-degree burglary, El Toro Drive

At 4 a.m. on Monday, electronics were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle on the 1100 block of El Toro Drive. No suspect information was available.

Contribute to the delinquency of a minor, San Felipe Road

At 3:30 a.m. on Monday, parents of some Hollister minors reported to police that a known suspect supplied them with alcohol on the 100 block of San Felipe Road. The case has been forwarded to the San Benito County District Attorney’s Office.
