out of some 34 teams.

Anzar’s Aaron Hsia-Coron once again led his team with a 16:14.6 at the Serra Invitational on Saturday at Crystal Springs in Belmont, while the Hawks boys cross country team finished in 23rd out of some 34 teams.

Anzar compiled a team time of 90 minutes and 27 seconds, and finished a little more than two minutes outside of a top-12 spot.

Bellarmine (80:22), San Benito (82:35) and Serra (83:31) took the top three places, while one of Anzar’s Division V rivals, Crystal Springs Uplands, finished in 17th place in 89:51.

Hsia-Coron’s 16:14.6, meanwhile, placed him 11th in the varsity boys race. Teammate Izzy Parra (17:30.1) was second on the Hawks and 58th overall, while Miquel Vega (18:46.7) was 132nd.

Freshman Diego Leon clocked an 18:52.1, and Josiah Garza recorded a 19:04.7.

The course was 2.95 miles.

The Hawks will have a Coastal Athletic League meet on Thursday at Wilder Ranch. Race time is 4 p.m.
