Police arrested a suspected child molester when the man’s relatives reported him after years of abuse.
Hugo Dimas Martinez, 28, of Morgan Hill was arrested 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3 on the 15000 block of Fisher Avenue in Morgan Hill on suspicion of multiple sex offenses, including rape, child molestation, oral copulation, aggravated sexual assault, and performing lewd and lascivious acts with a victim under 14, Sgt. Jim Gillio said.
The three alleging victims – all under the age of 15 – were relatives of Dimas who had lived with Dimas in Gilroy or Morgan Hill, Gillio said. They allege the molestation occurred for more than a year in both Morgan Hill and Gilroy.
The victims reported Dimas when they found out they were going to have to stay with him again due to family issues, Gillio said.
Dimas is currently being held in police custody without bail.
