Joseph B. Hudson, 58, was present in court Thursday at a 1:30 p.m. preliminary examination, where the parties merely presented a tape played of a previously transcribed court interview with the defendant.

The former San Juan School teacher is accused of 18 felony counts of lewd or lascivious acts with a child under the age of 14 – three charges for each of the six children – along with six counts of continuous sexual abuse, according to court documents. He pleaded not guilty to all 24 counts.

Hudson’s next preliminary examination hearing is set for 8:30 a.m. Monday in courtroom 101.
