The San Benito High boys soccer team scored plenty of goals on Wednesday to earn its first victory of the season when it defeated host King City by a 6-4 margin in non-conference action.

The Balers are now 1-2 on the season.

San Benito deposited four goals in the first half and took a 4-2 lead at halftime. Both teams pocketed two goals apiece in the second half.

San Benito head coach Ramiro Ramos could not be reached for comment at press time.

The Balers will return to play in the Homestead Christmas Cup tournament on Saturday when they will play The King’s Academy at Willow Glen High. Kick-off is 12 p.m.
