The 25th annual Mission 10-mile and 5k Run is set for Saturday morning. Funds raised go to the Hollister Rotary Club, the event sponsor, and its scholarship program for local students. Last year, 2,800 runners took part, but it’s hard to estimate a turnout this year because of weather, said Mari Davis, Hollister Rotary Club president.
The 10-mile course starts at 10 a.m. The 5k walk/run begins at 10:15 a.m. And the Fun Run for kids precedes the two adult runs at 9 a.m. Medals are awarded to three top finishers in standard age categories.
Race-day registration starts at 8 a.m. The fee for adult participants is $20 for pre-registration and $25 on Saturday. The fee for the 1-mile Fun Run is $5 or $12 with a T-shirt.
