Two 14-year-old male juveniles were arrested April 9 at San
Benito High School suspected of carrying pocket knives on campus.
According to Hollister police, a teacher searched one of the
students and found drugs. Later, when both students were searched
by administrative staff, the knives were found. The juveniles were
booked into San Benito County Juvenile Hall.

Theft
A theft was reported at Target April 9 when a woman said her purse was taken from the back of her chair by an unknown thief. According to Hollister police, the suspect stole $630 from the purse then threw it in a trash can. The case has been closed with no leads or evidence.

A man was arrested at Target April 11 after police say he stole a digital mp3 player from the store. According to a Hollister police report, the man was seen taking the item by store staff who detained him until police arrived. The man was booked into San Benito County Jail.
Assault of an officer
A man was arrested April 13 after police say he pushed an officer against a fence during a disturbance call. According to Hollister police, officers had responded to a report of a disturbance at 1615 San Juan Road and when they attempted to contact the suspect, he pushed one officer into the fence, which caused bleeding to his knee. The man was booked into San Benito County Jail.
Assault, theft
On April 13, Hollister police officers tracked down and arrested a man who was wanted for supposedly beating his girlfriend, locking her in a bathroom, then stealing her jewelry. According to Hollister police, they had been investigating the suspected crimes since they were reported March 10. The suspect has a criminal history with prior convictions of drug offenses and battery.
