manufacturing child pornography and possessing drug
paraphernalia.
Grover Beach Police arrested a 50-year-old Hollister man April 21 on suspicion of molesting a 7-year-old girl as well as manufacturing child pornography and possessing drug paraphernalia.
Grover Beach Police Detective Jim English said he had been investigating the case for the last month after the girl told police the man had molested her repeatedly from 2005 to 2007 in Grover Beach where the family lives.
Police searched the man’s home and said they found pornographic photographs of the girl as well as a pipe used to smoke methamphetamine.
“This is a very solid case, and I’m very confident it will be successfully prosecuted,” English said. “Anytime you work with young children, it’s very satisfying to get to the bottom of it.”
The Free Lance does not name suspects until they have been formally charged in court.
