San Juan Bautista Girl Scouts take on a project to help keep curious animals dry at Hollister Hills

Members of Girl Scout Troop 3473 in San Juan Bautista recently completed their Silver Award project. The girls made critter crawl-outs from cement planks decorated with seashells, and then installed them in water troughs at Hollister Hills. The planks are partly submerged in water and are partly out of the water so that small animals, such as mice, can climb out if they fall in the water.
