On Wednesday, the power surge continued as Hollister’s Nathan Alvarez hit two homers and Steinbeck hit another to support pitchers Fhurong and Andrew Breen in a 12-2 victory over Hartnell.
Hollister played Atlantic of Salinas Wednesday night, with the winner advancing to a 7 p.m. Friday night contest against the loser of Thursday’s Hollister American-Soledad winners bracket match-up.
