The San Benito County Board of Supervisors met in closed session

Supervisors on Tuesday agreed to keep County Counsel Dennis LeClere employed and allotted him a merit pay increase he had been due, Supervisor Reb Monaco confirmed this morning.

The San Benito County Board of Supervisors met in closed session Tuesday to review his performance, and officials had declined to comment on a reason for the special meeting evaluation.

LeClere recently has been criticized by officials and a developer for his role in making recommendations to supervisors on the proposed Spur Hotel project in Tres Pinos off Highway 25.
