Transportation of loaded firearm, Airline Highway

A sheriff’s deputy performed a traffic stop on the 20000 block of Airline Highway on Nov. 11 when he observed a driver crossing the median lines twice and suspected the driver was intoxicated. The driver turned out not to be impaired, but was in full camouflage clothing, prompting the deputy to ask what he was doing. The driver said he had been hunting, but denied having any firearms. A search of his vehicle revealed a rifle loaded with an illegal, lead based form of ammunition. He also did not have a hunting license. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Possession of loaded firearm, Panoche Road

Sheriff’s deputies performing a traffic stop at 5:41 p.m. Saturday found the driver to be in possession of “less than one ounce of marijuana.” Another suspect in the car was found to be in possession of a loaded firearm. Both were taken into custody.

CRIMINAL REPORTS

Credit card fraud, Dan Court

Sheriff’s deputies took a report and began an investigation regarding illegal use of a stolen credit card between Thursday and Monday. The theft took place in the 100 block of Dan Court, and it was determined that unknown suspects had made unauthorized charges of approximately $8,400 and misrepresented themselves as the card’s owner. The investigation remains active.

Burglary, El Cerro Drive

According to sheriff’s reports unknown suspects burglarized a home in the 800 block of El Cerro Drive between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday. Approximately $4,500 of unspecified possessions were reported stolen in the residential burglary.
