Holiday parade draws crowds

Once again the Lights On Parade in downtown Hollister has signified the start of the holiday season. The annual event draws more than a hundred volunteers and dozens of floats to San Benito Street each year.

Parade participants included plenty of children singing carols, as well as a pack of Australian shepherds who made their way down the main drag. Even the Grinch made an appearance atop the Intero realtors float.

Following the parade festivities, children and their families visited Santa’s Village, or stopped in the many of the restaurants or stores that stayed open late for open houses.
