On an unhappy note for the holidays, Buddy came home from school the other day with a note that due to budget cuts, their entire basketball season has been canceled. Poor Bud, he spent the last four months in a cast and the last month going to basketball practice to just watch, only to get his cast off the day before he gets the note that they are canceling the season. The kids were told that if they can raise $9,000 by Jan. 11, they can resume their schedule. Any amount will do and would surely be appreciated. You can contact the school yourself, or talk to any Chalone Peaks basketball player.
