Auto theft
Thieves stole a Honda Accord from the street in front of a home in the 200 block of Graf Road in Hollister between 5:30am and 5:35am Tuesday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.
Thieves stole a 200 Chevrolet pickup truck from the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 300 block of College Street in Hollister between 9:30pm Sunday and 7am Monday, police said. There are no suspects.
Thieves smashed open the gate of a storage yard in the 1500 block of South Street between 6pm Sunday and 8am Monday, police said. Thieves stole a 1992 Honda Accord and a 1995 Ford Explorer, police said. There are no suspects.
Vandalism
Vandals in a white truck left tire marks on a lawn and damaged the gate post of a home in the 200 block of Holland Circle in Hollister at 10pm Feb. 19, police said. There are no suspects.
Grand theft
Thieves stole tires and wheels of a vehicle in the parking lot of Tiffany Motor Company in Hollister between 6pm Sunday and 7am Monday, police said. The wheels and tires are worth $2,200, police said. There are no suspects.
Burglary
Burglars broke into a shed and stole three spools of copper wire at a business in the 100 block of Hawkins Street in Hollister between 3:30pm Friday and 7am Saturday, police said. The wire was worth $4,500, police said. There are no suspects.
Burglars broke a window of a car in the 1100 block of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister between 8pm Saturday and 3pm Tuesday, police said. Burglars took a phone charger and coins worth $30, police said. There are no suspects.
Arrests
Domestic violence
Douglas Stowell, 25, of Hollister was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic violence, after officers responded to a domestic disturbance at 4:43pm Monday, police said. Stowell allegedly hit a woman and pushed her, police said.
Timothy Lantz , 59, of Gilroy, was arrested by San Benito County Sheriff’s Office deputies assisting the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony domestic violence at 7:45am Monday, deputies said.
Domestic restraining order
Ernest Salas, 39, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of violating a court order to prevent domestic violence, a misdemeanor, after officers received a 911 hangup call and found him at a residence he was restrained from at 10:32am Monday, police said.
Samuel Barajas Canela, 21, of Hollister, was arrested by deputies on suspicion of violating a court order to prevent domestic violence, a misdemeanor, after he was found in a vehicle with a woman he was restrained from on Felice Drive at San Juan Road at 11:55pm Monday, deputies said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
