Criminal Sentencings

San Benito County Judge Alan H. Hedegard

Christopher Keith Merrit, 22, of Hollister, was sentenced to one year of probation for disturbing the peace, a misdemeanor.

Agustine Pena, 50, of Hollister, was sentenced to three days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $480 for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.

OB Frank Kitchens, 33, of Hollister, was sentenced to one-year in county jail for preventing or dissuading a victim or witness, threats, annoying phone calls and possession of an illegal weapon, all misdemeanors.

Gabriel Perez Soto, 35, of Gilroy, was sentenced to 15 days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $1,998 for drunken driving, a misdemeanor.

Carina Gonzales, 20, of Hollister, was fined $150 for public intoxication, a misdemeanor.

Andrea Annette Cordova, 22, of Hollister, was sentenced to 45 days in county jail and two years of probation, and fined $650 for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Antonio Jose Gonzalez, 45, of Hollister, was sentenced to one day in county jail and one year of probation, and fined $250 for appropriating lost property worth more than $400, a misdemeanor.

Cynthia Adabel Mendoza, 29, of Santa Cruz, was sentenced to seven days in county jail and fined $100 for accessory, a misdemeanor.

Brett Richard Frick, 37, of Hollister, was sentenced to 60 days in county jail, three months in a first-time offender DUI program and three years of probation, and fined $2,460 for driving under the influence with injury, and hit and run, both misdemeanors.

Justin Ricardo Miller, 21, of Hollister, was sentenced to 30 days in county jail and two years of probation, and fined $400 for possession of a deadly weapon with intent to use, a misdemeanor.

Justin Ricardo Miller, 21, of Hollister, was sentenced to 15 days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $1,980 for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Andrea Denise Barner, 48, of Hollister, was sentenced to 20 days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $1,890 for driving under the influence, a misdemeanor.

Desiree Ann Parsons, 27, of Hollister, was sentenced to 10 days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $650 for domestic violence, a misdemeanor.

Silviano Ortega, 24, of Hollister, was sentenced to 20 days in county jail and three years of probation, and fined $1,890 for drunken driving, a misdemeanor.

Jose De Jesus Rivera Jr., 27, of Morgan Hill, was sentenced to 10 days in county jail, 18 months in a second-time offender DUI program and three years of probation, and fined $2,250 for drunken driving, a misdemeanor.

Rodolfo Barrientos, 36, of Hollister, was sentenced to one years of probation and fined $450 for reckless driving, a misdemeanor.

Ava Jeanine Morgan, 50, was sentenced to five days in county jail, three months in a first-time offender DUI program and three years of probation, and fined $1,890 for drunken driving, a misdemeanor.

Civil Lawsuits

Michelle Scott filed a civil suit against Safeway, alleging premises liability resulting in a slip-and-fall accident, seeking more than $25,000.
