Waiting for autumn in South County
Sounds like we’re in for another change of weather this week.
The forecasters are predicting record highs for this week, not good
for all the wildfires down in Southern California. November is
almost here and I am ready for wet weather and fires in the
fireplace. I hope it’s sooner rather than later and that it lasts
all through winter and spring!
Waiting for autumn in South County

Sounds like we’re in for another change of weather this week. The forecasters are predicting record highs for this week, not good for all the wildfires down in Southern California. November is almost here and I am ready for wet weather and fires in the fireplace. I hope it’s sooner rather than later and that it lasts all through winter and spring!

The Bitterwater Lady Badgers volleyball team is still doing well in the Southern Monterey County League. Their record is now 6-2. They will play in the Soledad Middle School Tournament this Saturday at Soledad High School. They will play their final games of the season there so if you’d like to take in some exciting Badger volleyball action, be sure to go to Soledad this weekend.

Erica Williams hosted the October hot lunch last Friday at Bitterwater Tully School. She served delicious meatball sandwiches to all those on hand.

Hec and Kasey Hurley had their annual Halloween party last Saturday evening at their place. There was a great crowd there with some really good costumes. Andy Barrington had one of the best costumes as he was dressed as an OB/GYN. I didn’t even recognize him at first as he was wearing a wig, surgical scrubs, glasses and had shaved off his mustache. He looked good as a doctor but is definitely not one that I would recommend! Sandy Silva was dressed as a little old lady and she was very well disguised too. I didn’t recognize her for a while either. Colleen Sabin looked cute as a flapper girl, Crystol McFarland was a scary witch and Jessika Silva was dressed as a fairy. All of the kids there were dressed up in their costumes as well. A good time was had by all and everyone is already talking up their costumes for next year.

I was in sports heaven last Sunday as all of my teams managed to win their games. The Broncos finally, but barely, managed to pull out a win against the Steelers while the Red Sox will be heading off to the World Series. The Cowboys ended up winning their game as well so all was good in the Sans household last Sunday night!

Have a great week and be sure to give me a call or e-mail me at [email protected] with any news you’d like to share.
