Hollister – The investigations continue two weeks after Sheriff Curtis Hill revealed probes of Sgt. Mike Rodrigues into multiple criminal allegations, including rape.

The allegations against sheriff’s Sgt. Mike Rodrigues include two rapes, two violations of a court order to prevent domestic violence and intimidation of a witness or victim, according to the sheriff’s office.

Hill said his office’s investigations into the 25-year veteran continue and are considered open-ended. Hill confirmed that both his office and the Hollister Police Department are investigating separate rape allegations against Rodrigues.

Rodrigues continues on paid administrative leave, Hill said. The sergeant has not been arrested.

The Hollister Police Department is also investigating a reported August stalking of three women in which Rodrigues is a suspect.

San Benito County District Attorney Candice Hooper has not charged Rodrigues in any of the allegations. Hooper said the Hollister Police Department has forwarded its reports to her office, but is waiting on information from the Sheriff’s Office.

“We’re still waiting for follow-up,” Hooper said.
