Ryan Fuller, a Morgan Hill native and National Hockey League hopeful, was not selected in Saturday’s NHL entry draft.

The local product, who attended Britton Middle School before moving to Texas at age 15 to focus on hockey, was named to the NHL Central Scouting List, which ranks and evaluates talent for the draft, in November.

His junior hockey team, the Texas Tornado of the North American Hockey League, has won two straight national championships and he was hoping his success there would lead to being drafted.

Instead, Fuller will likely set his sights on selecting a college for the 2007-08 year to continue to improve his game.

Fuller said Ohio State University and the University of Wisconsin have both shown interest.
