San Jose – The Anzar High boys basketball team lost its second straight game Tuesday, falling to Overfelt 53-39 on the road.

Scott Benson scored 23 points and grabbed 13 rebounds but his efforts weren’t enough to get the Hawks (6-2) into the win column.

Steven Mackabee added five points in the loss.

Anzar, which won its first six games of the season before falling to Piedmont Hills in the championship game of the San Jose High Academy Tournament on Friday, returns to action this Friday against Thomas More.
