San Benito High School has announced it is seeking public input on the superintendent search. It is asking residents if they want to meet with an adviser handling the search.
According to the SBHS announcement:
The search for San Benito High School District’s next superintendent is fully underway.
Success requires the involvement of the San Benito County community, including parents, teachers, district staff and taxpayers who may not have children attending the school but nevertheless have a vested interest in maintaining San Benito High School’s reputation.
If you did not meet with Dr. Laura Alvarenga an adviser of the Dave Long & Associates Superintendent Recruitment Firm in June, or just wish to refresh her memory, the Governing Board of the San Benito High School District invites you to meet with Dr. Laura Alvarenga on January 15, 2014 from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The purpose is to solicit staff and community input toward district priorities and the qualities desired in the next superintendent.
Even though the board has ultimate legal responsibility for hiring a superintendent, they cannot accomplish this critical task without thoughtful and robust help from the community.
You can schedule an appointment with Dr. Alvarenga from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Please call Ms. Barbara Luther (831) 637-5831 X 132 by January 13th to schedule an appointment. Also, you may drop by the Conference Room 135, in the Main Building, 1220 Monterey Street, Hollister, CA 95023 anytime from 2 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
For anyone who is unable to attend the forum, comments may also be submitted no later than February 5, 2014 by email directly to the adviser at: la*************@ao*.com or written comments sent to:
