Gavilan college will make representatives from their financial
aid department and CalSOAP available to help students and their
parents decipher the Free Application for Financial Student Aid
(FAFSA) and the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form.
The programs, called

FASFA Fridays

and

CASH for College,

will be held throughout the area over the next few weeks and are
free or charge.
Hollister – Gavilan college will make representatives from their financial aid department and CalSOAP available to help students and their parents decipher the Free Application for Financial Student Aid (FAFSA) and the Cal Grant GPA Verification Form.

The programs, called “FASFA Fridays” and “CASH for College,” will be held throughout the area over the next few weeks and are free or charge.

Eligible students will be able to receive tuition assistance for college through the Cal Grant Competitive and Entitlement Programs and the FAFSA form is the first step toward receiving federal financial aid. Students should bring all the relevant documents to the programs including a social security card, drivers license, parents’ social security card, parent and student 2004 Federal W-2 form, a statement of income or benefits received if available, current balance of checking and savings accounts and a Record of Value for businesses/investments/assets.

FAFSA Fridays will be held at the Gilroy Gavilan College Campus Student Center from 10 to 2pm on Jan. 28, and Feb. 4, 11, and 15. CASH for College will be held at San Benito High School College and Career Center from 5 to 8pm on Feb. 1.
