Editor,
Here’s a little ditty you just might understand/as we prepare to hunker down like clams in the sand/for you know very well that it won’t be long ere the ghosts of “Marlon B” and his throng will repeat the performance now common to most/another big loser for our merchants to host/for when the dust had settled and peace had returned once more, last year not a thing had been learned/they blew into town from east, west, south and north to make a lot of noise and celebrate the Fourth.
Their arrival was welcomed with obvious glee by our trusted council and the H.I.R.C/for here in the horde of bikers aligned/was the city’s answer to solve it financial bind/”geez!” just look, must be 10,000, don’t you agree?/ at five bucks apiece to park’em, let’s see/ we’ll wipe out our deficit easily/ let’s say what’s more the vendors booth and taxes they pay will net us a nice cushion for our rally next year and our foresight will make us all heroes/hear hear!
But maybe it didn’t all add up so fine?/No one ever showed us the true bottom line!
“Nuff said!”
