A few – but very vocal – letter writers have opposed Measure G for a variety of spurious reasons. The blaming of environmentalists is, perhaps, the saddest one of all. Every time you breathe the air and don’t choke, drink the water and don’t get intestinal problems, eat a fish that doesn’t have high levels of mercury, etc. you should thank the environmentalists. And, while you’re at it, thank environmentally conscious farmers and ranchers, too!
