In his concluding sentence to his anti-Measure G
”
Letter to the Editor
”
(Freelance, Jan. 5) Marvin L. Jones says,
”
If my interpretation is even remotely close, Measure G and any
Supervisor that voted for it should be defeated.
”
Since his interpretation is not even
”
remotely close,
”
Measure G and those running for re-election who voted for it
should logically not be defeated.
In his concluding sentence to his anti-Measure G “Letter to the Editor” (Freelance, Jan. 5) Marvin L. Jones says, “If my interpretation is even remotely close, Measure G and any Supervisor that voted for it should be defeated.”
Since his interpretation is not even “remotely close,” Measure G and those running for re-election who voted for it should logically not be defeated.
Perhaps the most glaring omission from his diatribe is any reference to a central provision of Measure G that puts the power to change it in the hands of voters and not the Board of Supervisors. How that is a “power grab” by the Board is beyond me!
Mr. Jones also notes that everyone with Internet access can get a copy of Measure G off of the Free Lance Web site and commends the paper for that public service. In that, he and I are in agreement.
