Sponsors needed

The Second Annual John Kieswetter’s Faultline Rumble wrestling tournament is currently looking for sponsors. The deadline is April 1. Last year’s event drew about 350 participants ranging from 5 -50 years of age. Champion shirts and the fastest pin awards are just some awards given out. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. This is a great opportunity for former wrestlers who own their own businesses to advertise and give back. Details: Call David at (408) 749-5566.

Swim clinic

San Benito Aquatics will be running a Spring Clinic from April 5-9. It is intended for swimmers who are water safe (able to swim) but want to learn to swim better. The goal for the one-week clinic will be to teach how to swim the four basic strokes (freestyle, breast, back and butterfly). The cost will be $50 for the week for five one-hour lessons. Additional swimmers from the same family will cost $5 less. For additional information, check www.sanbenitoaquatics.org or drop by the San Benito High School pool between 5:15-8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Golf fund-raiser

Economic Development of San Benito County will be holding its 15 annual golf tournament at Ridgemark on April 16. There is a noon shotgun start, and check-in time begins at 10:30 a.m.

The format is a four-person scramble, and there are three flights. The entry fee is $125 and includes the green fee, a box lunch, door prizes and contests. There will also be a raffle and auction after dinner.
