THEFT: Juan Reyes Estrada, 41, and Miguel Angel Martinez, 43, of 740 McConnell St. in Hollister, were arrested by Hollister police in the parking lot of Hollister Super Market for stealing four canopies that were on display in front of Albertsons around 8:15 a.m. on Thursday. A third man participated in the theft but left the scene before police arrived.

Estrada and Martinez were sitting in the parking lot, two blocks away from the scene of the crime, in a small car with the four boxes of canopies crammed inside when they were arrested, according to police.

ASSAULT: Jesse Pena, 34, of 241 Matulich Ct. in Hollister, was cited by Hollister police on Wednesday at 1:45 p.m. for battery when he pushed his 30-year-old sister after an argument between her and their mother escalated.

Pena originally called the police when his mother hit him on the head with a plate.

TERRORIST THREATS: A juvenile male was arrested by Hollister police at a residence at 1690 Brighton Dr. for terrorist threats on Wednesday at 3:56 p.m. when he threatened to use a knife on his juvenile sister.

THEFT: Hollister resident Noel Luna had a portable DVD player with a seven-inch screen stolen out of her residence at 404 Powell St., to which Hollister police responded at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
