“I agree with the letter writer from the other day. It’s embarrassing to drive into Hollister along San Juan Road, and it is even more atrocious if you have guests coming to visit you. The county and the city must do something about this trash. It’s unsightly.
We talk about quality of life issues. We talk about slow-growth and sewer issues, economic development, and how these are important to our future community. But something is wrong when we can’t even take care of our now.
Quality of life is about the now, also. Let’s do something about the county’s blight.”
“Will you cowards and scum bags quit dumping your garbage on McCray Street at the Community Pantry paper recycling bins.
Leave your garbage in your own can or haul it to the dump. That location will now be protected by shotgun five days a week. You decide which five days.”
