Cup competition.
Peter Singh of Holllister shot a 77-76 this past weekend at Riverside Country Club in Portland, Oregon as part of the Hogan’s Cup competition.
Singh’s four-player NorCal team tied for second with Southern California with a total of 439. The winning team represented the state of Oregon.
The course was a par-72. The worst score from each team was discarded each round.
“The course played long, about 6,800 yards,” said Singh, age 15. “They moved the tees back as far as possible. The weather was gorgeous and the greens were real nice. I thought would shoot better, like even par or a couple over. I didn’t hit the ball well.”
All players had one practice round on Friday.
