The two-act play is an adaptation by the writer Helen Avery that talks about
Theseus, the prince of Athens, who joins a group of young men and women being offered as human sacrifices in order the make his way to the center of the Labyrinth and fight the terrible Minotaur, part bull, part man in a huge labyrinth.
Avery’s knowledge of Minoan civilization is used to give young audiences new insights into the period.
But keep the legendary heroes as characters of flesh and blood, speaking to the basic emotions of young people.
