Congratulations to the following Gilroy High School student of the month winners for November: freshman Erin Magill, sophomore Alan Chan, junior Randy Higashi and senior Daniel Carrillo.

These Mustangs will be honored at the Recognition Luncheon today at the China Palace along with receiving a $25 gift certificate.

Congratulations to Gilroy High School student Elizabeth Dirks, who also recently returned from Washington, D.C., after winning National Pace Maker Award for journalism. She will also be recognized at the Friday Luncheon. She will receive a $100 gift certificate from a local restaurant.

Marine Corps Pfc. Ragail M. Aguilar, son of Elizabeth Aguilar of Gilroy, recently participated in Ulchi Focus Lens while assigned to Marine Air Control Squadron Four, Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni, Japan.

Aguilar is a 2002 graduate of Santa Teresa High School in San Jose and joined the Marine Corps in August 2002.

Ulchi Focus Lens is an annual, combined, joint computer-simulated command post exercise held in South Korea and involves the Ripublic of Korea and U.S. Armed Forces. Durin the exercise, Aguilar and his united tested their capabilities to command and control aircraft and relay vital information to supporting and adjacent commands in a field environment.
