There is a new full-service salon on San Benito Street where customers can get a range of treatments.
“I Love Hair & Nails” is opening at 722 San Benito St. and will hold a grand opening Tuesday, said one of the owners, named Lyn. The shop’s owners have 20 years of experience in San Jose and will open the new Hollister salon – with a heart in place of “Love” in the business name – near Seventh and San Benito streets.
The salon will offer a large space and several rooms for treatments. Some of the hair and beauty services include extensions, up-dos, massages, facials, highlights, manicures and pedicures. While getting something done, meanwhile, customers can sit in one of the electronic massage chairs.
The salon also does piercings, while it has a special offer for men’s haircuts of $8.
Its location – formerly the Country Rose frame shop – was recently renovated by building owners Marie Peterson and Tony LoBue.
Peterson said she hopes businesses like the new salon can help draw other businesses to the downtown as well.
“Downtown is gaining more businesses, hopefully,” she said.
