A surveillance photo shows the alleged suspect of a beer theft at Safeway.

Hollister Police officers are investigating a theft of beer from Safeway that allegedly occured on Feb. 3. They received  a report of an Hispanic male entering the store at 591 Tres Pinos Road around noon. The man picked up two 18 packs of Corona beer from a display and walked toward the exit. A store employee confronted the man who continued to leave the store without paying.

At about 2:30 PM, the same suspect entered the store again, wearing the same clothing. The suspect walked to the beer display and selected two more 18 packs of Corona beer. This time, the suspect was confronted by an employee at the door. The suspect turned and returned the beer to the display and then fled through the front door.

The suspect was observed getting into a silver pickup/SUV with license plate similar to California license# 4XUB025 and leaving the parking lot.

The suspect is described as average height and weight, wearing a white Raiders #20 football jersey with blue shorts.
