Eric Tognazzini Memorial Fundraising Dinner:

A fundraising dinner for a memorial statue of Eric Tognazzini to be placed in downtown Hollister will be held March 8, at 6 p.m. at San Juan Oaks Golf Club. The evening will begin with a no-host cocktail hour at 6 p.m. with dinner being served at 7 p.m. Tickets are $50 each and table sponsorships are still available. ‘Murder Most Fowl’:

Limelight Productions presents “Murder Most Fowl,” a murder mystery comedy dinner theater show. Performances are March 8, 9, 15 and 16, with doors opening at 6 p.m., dinner at 6:30 p.m. and the show starting at 7 p.m. March 10 and 17, doors open at 1 p.m., with a meal served at 1:30 p.m. and the show to start at 2 p.m. Tickets are $25 a person, including dinner and the show. Meditation at the Japanese Temple:

Merit badge university:

Hollister Boy Scout Troop 436 will hold its third annual Merit Badge University March 9 at Sacred Heart School. Interesting merit badges such as Animal Science, Fingerprinting, Cinematography, Pulp & Paper, Fire Safety, Scholarship, Dentistry, Art, Public Speaking, Music and Law are being offered. Civil War Days planning meeting:

The first meeting to plan September’s Civil War Days event at the San Benito County Historical Park will be March 10, at 1 p.m. The event runs Sept. 13-15 and is one of the largest fundraisers for the historical park.
