Police over the weekend arrested a Hollister man accused of burglarizing his ex-girlfriend’s home and refusing to leave the residence.
At about 3 p.m. Saturday, Hollister police arrested Ricardo Flores, 36, on suspicion of burglary in the 900 block of C Street, according to a statement from police.
According to the statement from the Hollister Police Department, officers responded to the residence on a report from a woman alleging that her ex-boyfriend burglarized her home and was refusing to leave. “Officer Carlos Rodriguez immediately spotted the suspect in the garage of the home. Flores attempted to flee and foot pursuit ensued. Flores, at one point, stopped running and turned around and took an aggressive fighting posture. Flores refused commands to comply. After numerous warnings and verbal commands, Officer Rodriguez discharged his TASER and Flores immediately stopped resisting.”
Flores was medically cleared and then booked into San Benito County Jail. He is being held on charges alleging burglary, resisting arrest and a local outstanding warrant, according to the HPD.
